Chronic Conditions

Service through personal experience:

Years ago, I was diagnosed with a chronic condition called Parsonage Turners Syndrome. It is a form of nerve damage that can cause numbness, burning, pain and weakness of the shoulder, arm or hand. I was told that I would be lucky to regain 85% of her arm function in 1-1/2 years. I couldn't work or even walk my dog in the early months of my diagnosis. I began the treatments, recommended by my physician of physical therapy and pain medications. But I realized that my knowledge and expertise gained from working with patients suffering chronic pain could help me implement the strategies and tools I had taught them. One year after the diagnosis I had regained 100% function of my shoulder, arm and hand and was pain free.

I am in a unique position to serve as an excellent resource on creative ways to prioritize more than one health problem and get clients what they need from their health providers.
